Academic Coach
Not knowing how to navigate formal education isn’t a failure.
Many of us grew up with the same mantra:
Go to college
Earn a degree
Get a good job
The reality is that many people trying to earn a degree don’t know how to navigate the college experience. And before that, many people wrestle with how to manage their middle and high school experiences, simply moving along because of their age.
Trying to do that alone can be scary.
Academic success is a skill you can develop and improve.
How I Can Help
Who I Can Help
There are very few reasons why someone can’t earn a degree or certification when they want to. Limited resources or life’s realities may mean you advance more slowly, but when you have proof of completion, no one cares how long it took.
Perhaps you learn more slowly than others.
Maybe you get a bit overwhelmed when trying to stay on top of everything.
You may have declared deadlines your personal nemesis or have had previous teachers make you doubt what you can and cannot do.
Whether it is a certification program, a high school diploma, or a college degree, if you want to succeed in learning, I can help.
I’ve worked with:
Students who want support to do better in school
Individuals with learning disabilities including dyslexia
Neurodiverse learners {ADHD & Autism}
People who speak English as a second language
International students from 20+ countries
Adults {including veterans} (re)starting college
