Editor

My enthusiasm in supporting writers goes beyond those in a classroom setting. Whether you are writing your first or tenth creative work, I’m here to support idea development, draft completion, and genre-specific elements for your writing project.

My strengths are in supporting the vision you have for your project. Not only do I have ten years of experience teaching creative writing courses, but I have also been an early critique partner and beta reader for numerous published authors.

What to Expect

For over a decade, I shared ideas and insights about writing, covering topics including craft, creative living, self-care, and techniques to get started or improve on stories in the process. Reading them can share insights into what you may experience in working with me.

To save you time, I’ve moved them all here.

In addition to being updated here, all new writing-focused posts are shared in Tasha’s Tips, a feature of my Substack. Subscribe to have them delivered directly to your email.

What People Are Saying

  • Tasha's close reading of my writing has resulted in more fleshed out and believable characters, stronger plots, and tighter prose. She has a knack for helping me see the larger potential in my work. I would not be the writer I am today without her keen eye and big heart.

    — Rosalyn Eves

  • Tasha has been my guide along the trail of teaching and writing for years! She’s both kind and tough, personal and professional—absolutely the best of the best.

    — Elaine/E.B. Vickers

  • Tasha is a talented editor who has a fantastic eye for detail and nuance. She edited chapters of my novels and also collaborated with me to edit and publish a scholarly journal article. Her editorial comments made my writing stronger and more authentic, and I’ll always be grateful for her support.

A Note about Artificial Intelligence

I have been passionate about helping people share their experiences and stories for nearly twenty years. I have absolutely no desire to support work created by generative artificial intelligence, LLMs, or similar automated tools to create, manipulate, or substantively contribute to your work.

You will be asked to agree to an artificial intelligence & AI-generated service agreement attesting to your efforts. If you hope to find an editor to “humanize” work primarily created by something that is not your own brilliant mind and creativity and imagination and research and life, I’m not the editor for you.
